An intimate one-day gathering bringing together designers, artists, civic leaders, community builders and thinkers exploring what comes next. The 2026 summit takes Civic Futures as its theme, asking how communities might design the systems and institutions they will actually need, rather than the ones they inherited. The format deliberately avoids the standard conference shape: keynotes and panels are paired with working sessions built for genuine exchange, inquiry and collaboration, so attendees leave having made something alongside other people rather than only having listened. Runs 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at KILN in Southeast Portland. Organized by AIGA Portland as a centerpiece of Portland Design Month, and relevant to anyone working at the intersection of design, technology and civic life. https://www.aigapdx.org/events/2026-radical-futures-summit-civic-futures-x-design
