DESCRIPTION:An open\, hands-on craft circle at ADX\, Portland's long-runni
ng maker and fabrication space on SE 11th Avenue. The invitation from the
organizers is characteristically blunt: make things with your hands\, make
time for your art\, make new friends\, make a mess. Bring whatever projec
t you want to work on -- including the one you have probably been putting
off -- and make your Pinterest dreams come to life alongside other makers.
This runs as part of ADX's Butch Bootcamp series\, which also covers basi
c power tools and drywall repair\, and it is aimed at building practical s
hop confidence in a low-pressure\, social setting rather than teaching a s
ingle prescribed project. Three hours\, Sunday afternoon\, at the ADX shop
at 417 SE 11th Avenue. Useful for anyone curious about fabrication\, wood
