DESCRIPTION:A casual make-and-take session at Baerlic Brewery in Southeast
Portland\, presented as part of AIGA Portland Design Month 2026. The prem
ise is simple: take something\, make something. Attendees drop in after wo
rk\, pick up materials on site and make a small piece to keep\, with other
designers and makers around the table to talk to while they work. There i
s no curriculum and no experience needed - it is a low-pressure counterpoi
nt to the lectures and workshops that fill out the rest of Design Month\,
built mainly for meeting people in the local creative community. A good op
tion for designers\, illustrators\, students and anyone new to Portlands d
esign scene who would rather start a conversation over a project than at a
networking mixer. Held in the brewery taproom\, so food and drink are ava
 ilable\nhttps://www.aigapdx.org/events/take-a-make-a
